Firing of the Forge

See traditional ironworking in a traditional Victorian forge located in the heart of the village of Welbourn.

This former forge and blacksmith's workshop dates back to 1864 and is still in working condition. For over 100 years Welbourn Forge has served the needs of farmers and tradesmen in the area. The forge opens on the first Saturday of the month and now exhibits old photographs, displays and memorabilia along with a restored earth privy.

NIGHT AT THE THEATRE - GRANTHAM

Originally produced by Casson & Friends in collaboration with Stopgap Dance Company, ‘Night at the Theatre’ is a fun, family adventure that celebrates the creativity in all of us. Set at night in an abandoned theatre; when three friends become trapped, little do they know that they will soon become the stars of their own show. An integrated (disabled and non-disabled) cast of three performers provide the perfect introduction to dance for all ages, helping audiences to discover the amazing things that can happen at the theatre, to learn the many different things that dance can be, and even create their own performance! Combining a mixture of dance theatre, audio-description and imaginative storytelling with Casson & Friends’ trademark interactivity; Night at the Theatre, sparks the imagination of children and adults alike. It’s accessible performance for everyone, so come along, join in and let’s make a dance! For children aged 4+ (and their grown ups).  £5.00, Teachers go free!

Whole School Open Morning At Lincoln Minster School

To get a real sense of the School you really need to meet the teachers and the pupils.

We hold Open Days throughout the year, both on weekdays and Saturdays. Ideal for a first visit, they are designed to give you a broad overview of the school and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

See NurseryPre-PreparatoryPreparatorySenior and Sixth Form provision; you will be able to enjoy a tour of the school and drop into lessons of your choice as well as meet our dedicated teaching staff; best displaying the nurturing, happy environment in which our students learn.

We also welcome private visits which include an individual tour and meeting with the Headmaster, should you not be able to attend one of our Open Days.

Additionally, we host a number of Taster Events for prospective pupils and individual Taster Days can also be arranged, allowing your child to experience first hand what life at Lincoln Minster School is like.
