Firing of the Forge

See traditional ironworking in a traditional Victorian forge located in the heart of the village of Welbourn.

This former forge and blacksmith's workshop dates back to 1864 and is still in working condition. For over 100 years Welbourn Forge has served the needs of farmers and tradesmen in the area. The forge opens on the first Saturday of the month and now exhibits old photographs, displays and memorabilia along with a restored earth privy.

To get a real sense of the School you really need to meet the teachers and the pupils.

We hold Open Days throughout the year, both on weekdays and Saturdays. Ideal for a first visit, they are designed to give you a broad overview of the school and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

The Wonderful Winter Walk

The Wonderful Winter Walk wishes to involve every school child in Lincolnshire to aid understanding of how good health education and awareness can help children and adults alike to lead healthy lifestyles, reduce cancer risk and act with care, compassion and community spirit by fundraising to help children who have been diagnosed with cancer. In schools, the Wonderful Winter Walk should take place on Fri 19th Jan 2018. Every child should complete a wonderful, brisk 30 - 60 minute walk during P.E. or at lunchtime in the playground (weather permitting). On the Sat 20th Jan, Walkers should arrive at 12pm at The Ferry Boat in Washingborough for the brisk one hour long walk to start at 12.30 and it will end back at the Ferry Boat. Free to take part.

Sleeping Beauty Panto - Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club

All the elements of the original story are here, but with some up to date twists and turns. All are woven together to bring a family friendly pantomime to the Plowright stage. 

This show takes place at The Plowright Theatre.

Tiptoe Theatre Sessions - Lincoln

Based in Lincoln, Tiptoe Theatre provides weekly inclusive drama workshops for young people aged 8-14. We welcome all with mild-moderate learning difficulties, including Autism, and physical disabilities.

We aim to build upon social skills, communication skills and confidence through drama activities, games, improvisation and story-telling!
 

This will be our first session back in the New Year and we would love to welcome some new faces! 

We run our sessions every Monday evening at the Drill Hall at £7 per child, first session free.

Join Peter, Wendy, Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys on their swashbuckling adventure to rid Neverland of the villainous Captain Hook, his bumbling sidekick Smee and their crew of dastardly pirates will enthral audiences of all ages! With all the fun, magic and adventure you’ve come to expect from pantomime at the Guildhall, you can be sure that Polka Dot Pantomimes will once again bring you the perfect treat for your festive celebrations.

PLEASE NOTE: No wheelchairs are permitted in the balcony during pantomime shows. Please use the allocated spaces towards the front of the theatre.

RELAXED PERFORMANCE: 2 January - 2.00pm

Relaxed performances are open to everyone, but the environment has been specifically adapted for families with children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, individuals with sensory and communication disorders, those with learning disabilities and anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.
There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and some small changes made to the light and sound effects.
