Uncle Henry’s enchanting Snowdrop Walk in the Woods

Our snowdrop walk is open every day from February and it is FREE to enjoy. There is a donation box if you wish to contribute to the upkeep of the woodland walk.

The Snowdrop walk is open 10am-3pm daily, giving a great opportunity to enjoy a walk through the peaceful walled garden and the woods.

We do advise suitable footwear as the natural woodland is uneven ground in places. Due to this unfortunately it is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs to go round the woodland walk but you can still view the snowdrops from the main garden and orchard.
The snowdrops have been growing here undisturbed for over 65 years and when at their peak flowering stage the whole woodland floor is awash with a carpet of snowdrops and yellow aconites.

Dogs are not permitted in the walled garden or woodland but we do have a farm trail walk which is dog friendly, free maps are available in the farm shop.

You are more than welcome to photograph the snowdrops and we would love to see your pictures, please tag Uncle Henry's if you post any online!

Doddington Cycle Club Sunday ride

JOIN US OUR POPULAR CLUB LED RIDE. ORGANISED BY GIANT STAFF.

Our Sunday rides are having a slight change after listening to club member feedback. We will now be running 3 different options on our rides, of 40 miles, 30-35 miles and 25 miles.

This change will now see 5 groups with 10 riders in each group. 2 of these groups will do 40 miles, 2 groups will do 30-35 miles and the final group doing 20-25 miles.

The 40 mile group will be a ride for those wanting to be challenged, taking in at least 1-2 climbs and averaging around 16-17mph. The 30-35 miles group will be more familiar to our current rides, aiming for a pace of 15-16mph and may include a climb. The final group is aimed for those new to the sport and new to us, heading on a 25 mile loop with no particular set pace, on a nice flat route around the local area.

Sing-a-long-a Beauty and The Beast

Venue: Embassy Theatre, Skegness
Website: embassytheatre.co.uk

Singalonga Productions invite you to “Be our Guest” at Sing-a-Long-a Beauty and the Beast. Join us as we celebrate the brand new adaptation of Disney’s iconic fairy tale with on-screen lyrics so everyone can join in!.

This is your chance to sing your heart out to the Disney songs of your childhood such as “Be our Guest”, “Belle”, “Gaston” and not forgetting the “Beauty and The Beast”.  Sing along with Emma Watson, Ewan McGregor and Emma Thompson in this romantic fairy tale and see if you can stop those tears at the end.

Our Singalonga host will start with a pre-show where they will warm up your voices, teach you some hand actions, show you how to use the famous Singalonga props bag during the film and when to Boo the arrogant Gaston and of course judge the fancy dress competition!

For those of you who have been abandoned somewhere on a desert Island and don’t know the story… Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast’s hideous exterior, allowing her to recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides on the inside.

So some along and celebrate this “tale as old as time”, dress as your favourite character and get ready to feel part of a real fairytale.

Please note this is a screening of the new movie with on-screen lyrics NOT a live show.  Beauty and The Beast is rated PG.
