Lincolnshire Showground is getting ready
Lincolnshire Showground is getting ready for the return of the much-loved Lincolnshire Show with hundreds of new and local exhibitors, adrenaline racing performances and spectacular displays for all of the family.
Now in its 135th year and organised by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, the Lincolnshire Show has grown to become one of the county’s flagship annual events. Regularly attracting over 60,000 visitors across two days, this year’s event held on 19th and 20th June promises another action-packed line-up.
This year is an especially important year for the Show, as it celebrates the 150th year of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society. The theme is being represented throughout the Show with performances and activities to get involved in, plus a special anniversary machinery parade.
You will be spoilt for choice with a variety of exciting classes and performances in the Main Ring & Countryside Ring. The line-up of impressive displays include top freestyle motocross shows; Broke FMX, the Shetland Pony Grand National, the East Midlands Police Dog Display, Wye Valley Axemen and crowd favourite – the Dog & Duck Show.
Over in the NEW Lincolnshire Lifestyle Zone you can browse an array of products from independent Lincolnshire producers, including interiors and jewellery items. Visitors can jump aboard the land train to visit the animals and an array of farm machinery from over the years. For our younger audience, the Show is packed full of educational stands on food and farming, not least in the Schools Challenge Area.
The Food Court will be brimming with Lincolnshire produce and live cookery demonstrations in the Lincolnshire Kitchen from top local chefs including Steven Bennett and Rachel Green. There will be delicious food and drink to sample including locally distilled gin, homemade fudge and Lincolnshire sausages.
Whatever you plan to see or do, you’re guaranteed a fun and action-packed day at the Lincolnshire Show 2019!
