Sculpture Exhibition at Doddington Hall & Gardens

An exciting, inspiring and beautiful array of sculptures from across the UK and Europe in the grounds of Doddington Hall & Gardens. With the Hall as a backdrop, the walled gardens, romantic wild gardens and the parkland beyond are the perfect foil for sculpture along with the large indoor gallery in our Stable Yard. Curator David Waghorne has carefully selected national and international sculptors to complement each area and to provide an eclectic exhibition to suit all tastes, styles and budgets, with almost every piece for sale. Plus – we need your help in building a huge Pyramid out of waste plastic! Bring your waste plastic bottles to Doddington and add to this extraordinary installation when you visit. Open daily until 9 September, 11am–4.30pm.


Bug Box Hotels at Hartsholme Country Park 

Come along on Tuesday 14 August and Make your bugs a home and help keep the insects in your garden safe from the cold winter weather by building a bug box. Join the Park Rangers to construct your very own little conservation project to take home! There is a charge of £3 50 per child for this event and booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years Location Meet at 1pm inside the Visitor Centre. 1pm to 2:30pm.                                                             


Summer Holiday Cooking Club

Keep your children busy during the school holidays and drop them off for some fun in the kitchen at Cooking Club on Wednesday 15 August from 10am to 12:30pm. They'll learn about food, prepare and cook their own lunch and make a treat to bring home. All ingredients and equipment are provided. All your child needs to bring is a container for their tasty treats. Session cost: £12.50 (including lunch). Recommended age: 5 years. 


Superhero Day at White Post Farm!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Superhero Day at White Post Farm!! Come and join White Post Farm on Wednesday 15 August for some amazing superhero training, crafts and games. There's never been a better time to dig out your best fancy dress costumes- adults, this means you too! Don't forget, if you come in fancy dress you get a free bag of animal food! We have super themed activities all day long, not to mention free take home crafts, archery, birds of prey, walk around entertainers and our usual farmyard fun. 10am - 5pm.             


Free Autism Event

CANadda, a Community Adult Network support group for adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, a is putting on a free autism event hosted by Linkage at Boultham Park. You are invited to come along to the autism event and enjoy the day on Thursday 16 August from 10am to 3pm. We are looking at bringing the autism community together to raise autism awareness so people can find out more about autism. This event is suitable for families, children, adults and professionals. Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Activities and entertainment include:

- Autism's Got Talent

- Autistic Speakers

- Sound Lincs

- Information Stalls

- A Sensory Quiet Room

- 9th Birthday Celebration

- The appearance of a special guest

Family Fun Day

Make some wild memories at our free drop-in family fun day on the Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe dunes on Friday 17 August. Dip into the waters to discover the amazing animals that live in the pond and head out with a sweep net to become a mini-beast explorer and see what wonders you can find. And why not try your hand at some of our wild crafts! Donations welcome. Open to all! Drop by any time between 11am - 3pm.                            


Music with Mummy Family Fun Session

Music with Mummy is delighted to be working with The Collection again this year and presenting a Family Fun Session for young children on Saturday 18 August. £4 per child and £2 per sibling. 10am - 10.45am Jolly Babies (birth to walking), 11am - 11.45am Music with Mummy (toddlers - 6 years) Please contact Elaine on 07717758485 to book your place.


Sunday Storytime - Eeeeeeek Elephants!

Come to Lincoln’s Waterstone’s weekly Sunday Storytime. Fun for ages 3 to 7 years though any age welcome. FREE and no need to book. Held this week (Sunday 19 August at 10:15am to 11:00am) on the middle floor in their cafe. 297A High Street, LN2 1AF Lincoln, Lincolnshire. 


Extreme Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Tattershall Castle

A teddy bears picnic but with a medieval twist on 18 and 19 August from 11am to 4pm. Go on an adventure with your favorite teddy. Bring along your favorite furry chum and complete all the Tattershall Tasks including a teddy zip wire that starts 35 meters in the air from the top of the Great Tower. Booking Not Needed. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.                                                                        


Uncle Henry’s Maize Maze

Come and explore the exciting Giant 5-acre Maize Maze this Summer at Uncle Henry’s! Can you find all the clues and make your way back out?  Open daily until the 2nd September with daily tractor rides. Standard Maze Entry £6 per person, Family Ticket (admits 4) £20, Tractor Rides £3 per person (if purchased without entry to the maze), Combined Maze and Tractor & Trailer Ride Entry £7.50 saving £1.50, Combined Family Entry (admits 4) and Tractor & Trailer Rides £26 saving £6, Under 2's Go free. The Tractor & Trailer Rides run every 30 minutes from 11am until 3pm. Free car parking is available and our outdoor children’s play area and farm trail is also free to use for customers. The Maize Maze is open from 9.30am Monday to Saturday and 10am on Sundays and last entry is at 4pm Monday to Saturday and 3pm on Sundays.
