FREE Family Fun Day at Trinity Arts Centre
Keep the kids entertained for the afternoon by visiting Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough on Tuesday 31 July, 12-3pm. Learn some circus skills and join in with the physical activities & games. Make a masterpiece in the arts & crafts activities on offer. Win a prize on hook-a-duck and other activities. Learn about Police and Firefighters while looking around vehicles from the emergency services and the RAF Firefighting Museum.
There’s something for all ages - there will even be a sheltered play area for the under 5s and information for adults, including ’whats going on in your town?’ where council officers will be talking about regeneration and restoration plans

Summer Fun with Lincoln Fun Bus
A date for your diary and another chance to bring your children for a play on board the fabulous fun bus. Taking place at St Marks Shopping Centre between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm on Wednesday 1 August to welcome you to explore!

Entrance is FREE so come and say ‘Hello’ but there will be limited numbers on board at busy times. (Groups of 16 children will have 10 mins play).

Summer cycle rides set for take-off
Every Wednesday throughout the school holidays (Wednesday 1 August to Wednesday 29 August) you can enjoy a free RAF-themed bike ride with Access Lincoln.
Each ride follows an attractive, traffic-free route from Lincoln to Doddington Hall, created especially for the RAF 100 celebrations.
The route takes you out along the Fossdyke Canal, then through fields and woods that once bordered RAF Skellingthorpe.

Once at Doddington Hall, there will be time for refreshments, a sweet treat or a light bite to eat before your return to the city.

Led by a Lincoln tour guide, the ride will feature interesting facts and air force anecdotes giving a true insight into how the RAF impacted on Lincoln.

Each ride begins at 11.30am, departing from the Hirebike station by the Horse and Groom on Brayford Wharf. Cyclists will return to the city by 3pm.

The cycle rides are free, although donations to the Royal Air Forces Association and the Jon Egging Trust are welcome.

Each ride is limited to 20 people, and spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Email or call 01522 581907 to book your place.

Cyclists will need to bring their own bike and cycle helmet. Alternatively, you can rent a bike through the Hirebike service.

National Play Day at Tattershall Castle

Let your imagination run wild, bring the whole family along and make the most of National Play Day on Wednesday 1 August from 11am to 4pm. Choose from a range games to play both inside the Great Tower and outside in the grounds. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue. What a great excuse to enjoy the sunshine and spend time together having fun at Tattershall Castle.



Bug Hunt at Hartsholme Country Park
Come along on Thursday 2 August and see what’s bugging us at Hartsholme Country Park. Join the Park Rangers to get up close and personal with some seriously creepy creatures! Search the meadow, look under logs and peer at trees to find the mini beasts that make the Park their home. There is a charge of £3.50 per child for this event and booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 13 years. This is a Childrens University validated activity. Location Meet at 1pm inside the Visitor Centre. Event takes place at 1pm to 2:30pm


Face Painting and Nature Challenge
Come along to Pennells Garden Centre Lincoln on Friday 3 August anytime between 10am to 4pm and add some sparkle to your little one’s day with Face Painting and Glitter art and why not complete the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trusts Nature challenge for your chance to win a prize


Tale As Old As Time a Fairytale sing-a-long
Let the kids burn off some energy this summer holidays and have some fun at the same time.The Princess and the Unicorn Events are bringing a big sing to a town near you on Friday 3 August at The Lincoln Rugby Club with all your favourite Disney characters. A fully interactive 2 hours where we encourage everyone to join in , dance and play.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and under 2's are free.
Tickets are £8.50 per person plus booking fee. 2pm to 4pm.

Grand Medieval Joust
Come along to Lincoln Castle’s most popular annual event on Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 August. Feel the thunder of hooves and hear the clash of lance on steel armour as four brave Knights take part in the Sport of Kings. Meet the knights and choose your champion and cheer him on. Together with musicians, surgeon, jester and a cast of medieval characters this weekend brings together some of the best jousters in the country with a full supporting programme of medieval activity throughout the Castle. The Castle Day Ticket is valid for this event.

This event is at 11.00am to 5.00pm both days.

Louth Family Fun Day
Louth is holding their second Family Fun Day on Sunday 5th August at 10am till 4pm. With their first Fun Day last year being a huge success with over 4000 people through the gates and this year is going to be bigger and better!

Fun for all the family including live entertainment, dancers, inflatables, fairground rides/amusements, stalls & crafts, fun dog show, horse and carriage rides, emergency services demonstrations, hot food, ice-cream, reptile encounters and much, much more! The Mayor of Louth, Councillor George Horton will be attending and officially opening the event at 10am - and then the fun shall begin!
