Family Fun at the Drill Hall all year round...
Lincoln Drill Hall offers a year-round programme of shows, theatre groups and creative sessions specifically aimed at younger audiences – from tiny tots to teenagers – plus events the whole family can enjoy together.
Events over the Summer are about taking part. Every Wednesday Hartbeeps offers musical adventure classes for newborns, babies and toddlers.
Fishtank Youth Theatre has groups for children aged 4 to 6, 7 to 11 and 11 to 18 year, and puts them firmly in the creative driving seat to make and perform their own shows. And for those kids who just want to bust some moves, there are two Diddy Discos this Summer too!
Autumn features wonderful stage versions of classic children’s books. The season begins with Scamp Theatre’s acclaimed adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s WW1 novel Private Peaceful on 22 & 23 September.
And on 26 September there’s the chance to spend an evening with Michael Morpurgo himself, as he talks about his incredible career.
Scamp Theatre return on 28 & 29 September with their award-winning adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s Stick Man, packed full of puppetry, songs and funky moves.
And there’s more wonderful puppetry in Théâtre Sans Frontières’
A Frog Called Woanda on 28 & 29 October, when a magical amphibian comes to a little girl’s aid when she needs it the most.
And as family entertainment goes, there’s not much that can top panto – on no there isn’t! Daft characters, stunning sets, dance numbers, sing-along songs and breath-taking special effects, our spectacular panto Peter Pan has it all! Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the Drill Hall panto, so book early to get your tickets at the best price!
