Dive in at Jubilee Park…
Woodhall Spa’s popular Jubilee Park is among the first seasonal attractions to open in 2019 on 6th April
The family-friend venue has open-air heated swimming and paddling pools, as featured on Channel 4’s Britain’s Best Villages programme in 2018. The water is kept at around 29°C whatever
the weather and there are heated changing rooms and hot showers if the weather is chilly.
This year the annual free swim day is Tuesday 9th April, when all are welcome free of charge. However, would be swimmers are asked to book a place for this highly popular event. The 2019
swimming programme has something for all ages and abilities, from swimming lessons and fun sessions for children, aquacise classes and adult only early morning swims to special events such as midnight swims and the open air showing of iconic films.
Proud of it’s access policies, the pool welcomes all carers free and offers half price swimming to seniors every Tuesday.
The surrounding park and gardens feature a recently fully refurbished children’s play area and a range of sporting facilities run by local sporting clubs- from cricket and tennis to
croquet and bowls.
Adjacent is an area of mixed woodland owned and run by the Woodland Trust and open to all. A network of footpaths runs through the area, including the long distance Viking Way, and the Water Railway cycle track along the river Witham is just a short cycle ride away. Woodhall Spa’s many independent shops and restaurants are also close by.
