Are you looking for a performing arts academy with a difference?
PQA Lincoln provides a unique opportunity for children and young adults from 4 – 18 years to receive quality training in performing arts, covering Drama & Comedy, Musical Theatre and Film & Television. Operating from The Knight's Building, Lincoln College on Saturday mornings, the Academy offers training that covers all aspects of performing arts and teaches skills involved in acting for stage and screen, filmmaking and the elements of musical theatre. 4 – 5 year olds have their own exciting programme of themed classes.
Part of a successful organisation established by actress Pauline Quirke over ten years ago, PQA is not a franchise but benefits from being part of a professional network that offers exciting opportunities including West End and regional performances, regional and national film festivals, exciting competitions and its own venue at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. PQA also has its own online TV channel and a full-time academy for students ready to take the next step within the industry.
Principal Hayley said, “I was drawn to be PQA because of the ethos that recognises every child’s individuality. And, because of its unique model, we can offer so much to our students. With three separate modules, Trinity exams, master classes, performances and film projects – there is always so much going on. This gives every young person a huge amount of opportunity to develop skills, contribute ideas and grow, in their own way and at their own pace”.
