Access Lincoln encourage residents to try out new ways of travelling around the city
Access Lincoln is an exciting project designed to encourage residents and businesses in the Lincoln area to try new ways of travelling around the city. Whether by bus, foot, or bike, Access Lincoln is there to help you avoid congestion and parking – so why not leave the car at home and try something new?
Funded by the Department for Transport and delivered by Lincoln Business Improvement Group and Lincolnshire County Council, there are many ways Access Lincoln can help you change the way you travel.
Residents can pop into the Access Lincoln Hub on St Swithin's Square for specialised advice on how you can get around. Alternatively use our free online personalised travel planner at www.accesslincoln.co.uk which will give you a full range of options for your journey.
Our Access Lincoln bus pass is for anyone whose employer is based in the city. For as little as £30 per month you can enjoy free, unlimited, travel on Stagecoach bus services. With some services departing every 10 minutes, could you travel by bus?
Cyclists can benefit from our new secure cycle hubs at St Marks Shopping Centre and Lincoln Central Station.
Our unique, and uniquely orange, Hirebike network is also available for everyone. With rents capped at £5 per day Hirebike is a great way to explore the city. With e-bikes now available at selected locations even our famous Steep Hill is no obstacle.
You'll also find the team at events around the city providing advice and support. Look out for Dr Bike, who will give your bike some TLC and get you moving again.
Businesses can benefit too. Our experienced team can help your business develop a bespoke travel plan to encourage your employees to travel more sustainably, reducing parking problems and helping achieve a fitter and happier workforce.
Our jobseekers bus pass gives your new employees three months of free travel on Stagecoach services around the city, bridging the transport gap and helping your employees get to work.
We also offer a 'Try-A-Bike' service. If you're not sure whether or not cycling to work is right for you and are anxious about committing to buying a bike, why not borrow one of ours? Free of charge you can try cycling to work and see if it's for you. If (when) you catch the cycling bug we can help you source the right bike for you to continue your cycling journey.
These services are free and there's no catch – we're here to help you change the way you travel.
We'd love to see you. Visit our website www.accesslincoln.co.uk, give us a call [01522 581906], or drop in to the Access Lincoln HUB on St Swithin's Square, Lincoln.
