Go bonkers for ‘Conkers’ this Christmas

Go bonkers for ‘Conkers’ this Christmas

If you’re a family who just can’t get enough of the great outdoors, then a trip to the Conkers activity centre is an absolute must.

Nestled somewhere between Nottingham and Leicester, right in the heart of the National Forest, is where you’ll find this all action, interactive nature trail, which has a few unexpected twists thrown in for good measure.

At Conkers you can explore 120 acres of woodland and lakes, brave the sensational sensory Barefoot Walk and enjoy a variety of different play areas, both inside and out.

And for the really adventurous ones, don’t forget the High and Low Ropes Ariel Adventures, featuring climbing nets and high-level walkways, all suspended 30 feet off the ground.

At this time of year there’s even more on offer to keep the whole family entertained as well.

Santa’s on hand in his Christmas Winter Wonderland and the forest is decked out in sparkling lights to help get everyone firmly in the Christmas spirit. There’s also singing reindeer and a Christmas train display new for 2017.

Even though it might be frosty outside, when you’ve finished with all the festive stuff, the excellent indoor visitor centre complete with simulation tree-top walk and 4D cinema show is more than enough to keep cold feet occupied for a couple of hours.

It’s all housed in the enticing Discovery Centre, which includes the Enchanted Forest indoor play area with around 100 exhibits and interactive forest floor.

So if you fancy braving the elements and getting active this Christmas break, Conkers could be right up your street.

Conkers is open 10am to 4.30pm throughout December and January.  Visit www.visitconkers.com for more information.
